Oklahoma State Fair

So we went to the state fair for the first time this year. Yesterday was the free day for military. So we went ate a deep fried corn dog with chocolate sauce and sprinkles on top. Which was super weird. Also had a funnelle cake. Which was ubber yum. We then just walked around. We watched ducks race, saw baby chicks and even watch one hatch. Well not hatch all the way but it was funny because the other chicks were pecking at the one in the eggs feet. We also saw goats and cows. You know how grown men ride bulls? Well we watched little kids ride sheep. It was super cute! It was such a nice day to just walk and see. Hopefully we make it again next year.

David 8 months of joy.

So David loves to pull himself up on anything that will support his weight. He likes the garbage can a lot though that cannot support his weight most of the time. So we keep that in the laundry room now. He really likes being in the fridge. As the picture shows he likes chewing on the bottles he can reach. We have had about 3 sweat shirt days in the last week. Something about David in a sweat shirt is so cute to me. David can stand/support his own weight for a little bit. He can let go of whatever he used to pull himself up and leg go and stand. It's so exciting.

David helps with laundry

David and hanging out in the laundry room. He likes watching the washer and dryer run. We also have a pantry in our laundry room he likes to explore. He has 4 teeth now.

David Stood today!

I didn't have a camera handy because I was on the floor with David, but he stood today! He has stood for like a second or less a few times, but today it was probably close to a solid 5 seconds! It was awesome! I cannot believe how fast all this is going. He's getting so big so fast. I think his 4th tooth will be out in the next couple weeks or less. You can see it looking so close! Today David started being able to click his top tooth with his bottom ones.
We all went to Captain America on base tonight. David was a trooper and slept through a good chunk of the 2 hour movie. It's a really good movie if you get a chance to see it.

My 8 month old

On Friday David weighed 22 lbs 11 ounces. He has a cold since Wednesday of last week. He got tooth number 3 last week which is his top left. He crawls everywhere and pulls himself up on everything which results in a new bruise on his head almost weekly. We also just bought him a convertible seat today. He's getting so cute and reminds me a lot of my brothers.

So this is in front of the rainforest cafe in the mall. Thought it was a cute shot of my guys. That mall was huge and we mostly just walked around looking at stuff.

Labor day weekend

This weekend we are going to Dallas for the first time. We are staying overnight in a 4 star hotel and going to go see some sites. Hope you all have a safe weekend.

David has a cold

So now that I can blog from my phone I'm going to be doing a lot more blogs with a photo. So this is David today waiting in the exam room for the doctor. David was pulling himself up on a chair. He was coughing and sneezing a storm last night. He didn't cough once while the doc examined him. Go figure. But its just a cold and just have to wait it out.x

Sept. 1st

This was David today. I was blowing in the straw and he just thought it was so funny. He doesn't laugh to much on his own. You usually have to tickle it out of him. I know he's kind of hard to hear. He's also way congested and just got a nice big bump on his head like 2 hours before the video. But thought I'd still share my cute kid. :)
