Trying a 12 hour fast

So I doubt anyone besides Kate (who might be my only reader left, haha) actually knows we are having a baby in April.  May of you also might not know that we are supposed to be getting out of the military in March.  So with the laps of coverage and with some other hurdles before then I have decided the first time I'm going to attempt to fast while pregnant or nursing is now.  I might not make the 12 hours but I feel like we really need the help and guidance you get from a fast.  So though Joe plans on doing the whole thing I already told him I won't be able to do it with him.
So wish me luck and if you have the feeling in your heart when you read this we could sure use the prayers as well as we make some big choices once again.

  1. I didn't know! Congrats!

And hopefully you'll get the guidance and direction you need. I never can fast while pregnant because my blood sugar plummets. Just be careful with yourself.

  2. Well. I don't how hungry you get while pregnant, but 12 hours should t be too bad. I barely eat myself, so I could do it no problem. But, the most important thing HOLY COW YOU'RE PREGNANT!?!?! Congratulations! I wish you all the best and I hope everything works out for you!

  3. I know when I've been pregnant/nursing, I've given up other things as fast, or rededicated to doing a "good thing." So, for example, I gave up all digital technology for like a day (or more). Or just certain websites (if I still had to use the computer). OR I dedicated myself to reading the Ensign cover to cover or the scriptures like hard core for the day. 12 hours without food shouldn't be undoable or that bad, but for future reference there are other ways of "fasting."

    1. Oh I know there is. I guess I just see it as being the easiest way for myself at this time.

  5. Didn't know you had a blog until you posted it on Facebook :) Congratulations on the baby!

If you guys need to go to the temple and you're comfortable with it, I'd definitely watch David for you.
