Some photos of David 5 months old!

This picture was actually taken today! This is David in his new spiffy 12 to 18 month onesy! I just had to show how well it actually fits!
David trying to master rolling.
Doing the whole hand eating and getting ready for bed. :)
More hand eating, couldn't decide which one I liked better so you get both.
Another today picture. It was funny he kept trying to play with his feet and toy.

So question for you moms with small children. I know a flash gives me better picture quality, but my camera has that automatic sensor thing so if it zeros in on a face it automatically does the red eye reduction. Well, if the red eye thing goes off then David blinks every time from all the flashes. So is there a way to use the flash and not have the red eye thing go off. Plus David is moving around so much I really struggle sometimes to get a non-blurry picture. Any tips with that as well would be nice. :)

  1. How old is your camera? We had those issues some with Abby, but our camera was older. The best option to get a good picture would to take it outside. Then you'd have good light, no need for flash and a quick shutter speed still.

Does your camera have the option to hold the button halfway and so it focuses and does the red-eye thing and then depress the button fully when you're ready?

  2. Yeah my camera does have that option to hold the button down half way, but just the multi flash of when it focuses makes him blink. It will still do it when there is no flash on, but my pictures always look a little yellow. :( So that's why I want to use the flash.

  3. The easiest thing would be to turn on some more lights, or go into your cameras pre-set settings, and pick the option for indoors, or whatever lighting you're in. Some cameras have a setting for fluorescent and incandescent lighting... Just try playing around with the settings. Oh, and since he moves so much, adjust the speed. There's normally a sport setting for that, but you can do I manually too. If you really want to get into it, try adjusting the white balance. There are tons of websites that can help you, and if you still have the book your camera came with, that could help you lots!
