Baby Names
So I'm having a really hard time with baby names! So I think we have decided on David because that was something we also liked before we were even married. But I think it's so hard to put a full name together. I am thinking about Alexander, but is it weird that I have a cousin with that as a last name? I also like Andrew, but would later like to use that as another boys name if we have one. But ten today I was thinking about either James Jordan or Jordan James and calling him JJ, wouldn't that be so cute? Even though we have already pretty much settled on David? ERRR! It's so hard! I bought a sippy cup a little bit ago with the name David on it because even if we didn't name him that it only costed like $2.50, not even. So now I'm just here and thinking it's rough to pick a name for a kid. I think it makes me more confused when I had a friend just announce the sex of her baby, a girl, and annouced it with the name they already picked out! Jeez! Now I feel behind.

We didn't settle on a name until the day we left the hospital!!! We just went with a few names we liked; Nathan was always our favorite name but I just wanted to actually see what he looked like before we officially named him. Don't worry, you still have time to decide on a name and you can even change your mind.
ReplyDeleteDon't feel pressured to have a name already! Those people who have a name already when they find out what they are having are crazy! Just keep talking, and praying, about different names, saying them over again, thinking about nicknames (or names they might get called) and seeing how it looks written down and together with your names, etc. And relax! You seriously have a while and don't have to decide yet. And David can be a middle name and not a first.

ReplyDeleteIt wouldn't be weird if you named him Alexander! I like your idea of jj its cute. I don't like common names but its your son and I am sure you both will pick a perfect name. Ps sometimes you just have to wait till you see the little one to know you were right!
